Technical assistance for P&I incidents and maritime claims
Technical assistance for maritime incidents, including inspection, preservation of evidence and reporting to the client, to support P&I matters in Northern and Northeastern Brazil, in accordance with the mandate.
Request attendance
A maritime incident requires reliable information while the facts can still be verified on site. TWS provides technical assistance for matters related to P&I and maritime claims, supporting the collection of relevant elements and communication with the client. The work may be carried out under instructions from shipowners, operators, insurers, clubs or expressly authorized representatives, according to the nature of the case.
Mobilization begins with defining the interest represented, the subject matter of the attendance and the responsible points of contact. In incidents involving cargo or port operations, the scope may include inspection of apparent damage, recording of observed circumstances, organization of the chronology and identification of documents required for analysis. Matters outside the contracted specialty are indicated for further assessment.
During the attendance, priority is given to records that can be related to the event: identified photographs, descriptions of locations and items, documents made available and information whose source is indicated. Preservation of evidence and communication of access limitations help the client understand what was actually examined and what remains outstanding.
Where a joint survey is conducted, participation and information sharing follow the appointment instructions. Observing the same facts does not mean adopting common conclusions. Technical findings are presented to the client with a distinction between findings, the parties' versions and hypotheses that still require substantiation. Recommendations to limit further aggravation are submitted to the appropriate responsible parties.
We serve domestic and international clients with field operations in Northern and Northeastern Brazil, subject to confirmation of availability and access. The assistance provides support for handling the case; it does not authorize acknowledgment of liability, settlement negotiations, issuance of guarantees or promise of coverage. Any representation before third parties depends on a specific mandate, and the service does not presume an official correspondent relationship with P&I Clubs.
